Robert’s Seafood was founded by Henry Robert, Sr. in 1916 in downtown
Springfield, Illinois. Almost 100 years and three generations later we still take pride
in providing the highest quality seafood in the area. Robert’s Seafood Market aspires
to retain the reputation of that quality for which we have always been associated, in a
day when chain supermarket owners never set foot in their business. We are very
proud to be locally and independently owned and support the efforts of all
independent businesses.
Our primary goal is to bring the freshest and largest variety of seafood from all over
the world to your dinner table. We work with suppliers and fisheries that
understand our strict requirements for quality and freshness. You can be assured
that Robert’s acquires all their seafood from vendors that are certified and use fishing
techniques that are friendly to the environment. We can trace the original source and
date that all of our seafood was harvested and transported. To ensure you receive
only the freshest product, we receive deliveries every day we are open, and most
special orders can be acquired at no additional cost within 24 hours.
In addition to our large supply of seafood, Robert’s Seafood Market also offers fresh
twenty-one day aged meats that are so tender you can cut them with a fork. Our deli
features Boar’s Head products in addition to a selection of European meats & cheeses.
You can pick-up a loaf of bread or pie that is baked here in our store and also add a
nice bottle of wine. We also sell locally produced products as much as possible, such
as Tall Grass Prairie beef and produce from local farmer’s.
We have recently expanded our choices of organic, gluten free, healthy choice, and
low-sodium products. We love our customers and want them to stay healthy! If
you’re looking for recipe or cooking tips we provide them personally here in the store
or you can check our website for additional information.
Perhaps what we take pride in most is providing the personal touch to each of our
